The Police Officers Sketches and Story
"Mr. Officer" by Herbie Fabulous is more than just a music cover and single. It ties into his original story of an old-school OG police officer and his new partner, a younger officer of a different breed. The story explores both sides of the law, showing both good and bad cops, as well as victims of police injustice. The aim is to not insist on any direct racism but to portray the story through a general scope, with an animal approach. Original character head designs were created to help us visualize the characters of the police officers.
Civilian and Angel Fly Sketches
Herbie wanted the style of his book to resemble a children's book, but it would have a deeper meaning. The story would involve regular civilians, who were often the prey, and their guardian angels in the form of small and defenseless animals. Herbie pictured the guardian angel as a goofy and comical-looking fly.
Line Sketch
Once the character designs were finalized, the next step was to create a scene in which the police were called due to a noise complaint. The older police officer was depicted as a grey, older hound-like dog, while the young cop was a German Shepard. The civilian character was designed with an annoyed expression on his face.

I then shaded, highlighted everything, and featured Herbie's Clothing line on the rabbit and prepped the background for motion.
